10 Year Anniversary Celebration, May 3

Dear Supporters, Donors, Survivors & Guests...

Thank you all so much for all your contributions to an amazing night at the House of Commons on Friday May 3rd.  The evening was more successful and poignant than we had ever imagined could be possible.  It was truly a remarkable celebration of 10 years in business!  We will put up some photos in due course.

We are tying up the figures and receiving in monies and paying bills but we are hoping the total will be near the £50,000 mark which is just phenomenal.

This could not have been achieved without everyone's contributions small and large. So a massive thank you to everyone involved from myself and our team here at Dan's Fund For Burns.

Finally, I am delighted to have just co-signed a cheque for £51,200 for a Laser Doppler for the Frenchay Hospital in Bristol. None of this would be possible without your on going support.

With very best wishes,

Polly

Dan's Fund for Burns :: Want to help? :: Fundraising

A BIG THANK YOU to those who have & for those who haven't yet...!

What are you going to do for Dan's Fund for Burns?

There are many ways to participate, for example...

  • you can simply make single or regular donations online by using our JustGiving.Com account which can be accessed through the link in the Fundraising News section on the right
    OR
  • if you prefer a more hands on approach, go to the Making donations section of this site and follow the information provided there.

For those of you with a more daring, active and flamboyant streak, your fundraising can be as innovative and as much fun as you want to make it!

Take a look through our Newsletters archive and the Current news section of this site just to catch a flavour of the type of things that have been done before and this might inspire you with some ideas for yourself or your band of fellow supporters.

So many people have performed so many fantastic feats including:

  • climbing Mount Kilimanjaro
  • walking the Great Wall of China
  • running Golf Days, Bridge Parties and Fashion Shows
  • and running Marathons...
    to name but a few!

If you are contemplating a fundraising event then let Dan's Fund for Burns know what you are intending so we can send you any pamphlets and other information you might find useful.

In addition you can download our Sponsorship Form template, and customise it for your event, and/or set up a fundraising page for your event at JustGiving.Com.

Simply use this link to access our account at JustGiving.Com and follow the procedure for creating an online fundraising page of your own.

The process allows you to not only build your page but also email all your friends and contacts to tell them about what you are doing.

They in turn can sponsor you by making their donations online, and you can sit back and watch the total grow whilst you are not frantically running around organising the event or training in readiness for it!

Another thing in your favour, using this method, means no more running around with paper sponsorship forms, or chasing cheques and cash after your event, and all the money goes straight to Dan's Fund For Burns.

What more can we say but HAPPY FUNDRAISING and again A VERY BIG THANK YOU for helping a lot of people enjoy a better quality of life.
