Royal Parks Half Marathon
2015 saw runners who between them raised a wonderful £10,000. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to each and every runner and their supporters for making this such a magnificent occasion. It was wonderful to see our Dan's Fund for Burns blue flags (courtesy of Skynasoars) flying all around the Parks - particularly Polly who possibly ran more miles than the runners to make sure someone was at every mile post!

A BIG THANK YOU to those who have & for those who haven't yet...!
2013 London Royal Parks Half Marathon
6th October 2013
The day was perfect, the excitement rose, our supporters waved fabulous new flags so our Charity was highly visible prompting several queries from other runners and supporters. The photos show some of our runners who were Katherine Jones, Brenda Trainor, Nicola Richardson, Lee Mcloughlin and Julian Herbert.
Thanks to Skynasoars for donating the wonderful flags which raised our profile along the route and cheered everyone on.
If you are interested in running next year, we ask our runners to commit to raising a minimum of £500 to cover the costs of obtaining places and something for the Charity – if you are interested please contact: email@example.com.
What are you going to do for Dan's Fund for Burns?
There are many ways to participate, for example...
- you can simply make single or regular donations online by using our JustGiving.Com account which can be accessed through the link in the Fundraising News section on the right
- if you prefer a more hands on approach, go to the Making donations section of this site and follow the information provided there.
For those of you with a more daring, active and flamboyant streak, your fundraising can be as innovative and as much fun as you want to make it!
Take a look through our Newsletters archive and the Current news section of this site just to catch a flavour of the type of things that have been done before and this might inspire you with some ideas for yourself or your band of fellow supporters.
So many people have performed so many fantastic feats including:
- climbing Mount Kilimanjaro
- walking the Great Wall of China
- running Golf Days, Bridge Parties and Fashion Shows
- and running Marathons...
to name but a few!
If you are contemplating a fundraising event then let Dan's Fund for Burns know what you are intending so we can send you any pamphlets and other information you might find useful.
In addition you can download our Sponsorship Form template, and customise it for your event, and/or set up a fundraising page for your event at JustGiving.Com.
Simply use this link to access our account at JustGiving.Com and follow the procedure for creating an online fundraising page of your own.
The process allows you to not only build your page but also email all your friends and contacts to tell them about what you are doing.
They in turn can sponsor you by making their donations online, and you can sit back and watch the total grow whilst you are not frantically running around organising the event or training in readiness for it!
Another thing in your favour, using this method, means no more running around with paper sponsorship forms, or chasing cheques and cash after your event, and all the money goes straight to Dan's Fund For Burns.
What more can we say but HAPPY FUNDRAISING and again A VERY BIG THANK YOU for helping a lot of people enjoy a better quality of life.
